The U.S. Army is renewing its Intergovernmental Support Agreement with the Austin Community College District to help turn warfighting concepts into warfighting capabilities at speed and scale.
The ten-year agreement comes as an extension to the initial five-year agreement from 2021, which underpinned the creation and operation of the Army Software Factory.
For the next decade, Austin, Texas will remain home to the Army’s hub for teaching Soldiers commercial software development practices for immediate application in military operations. Soldiers work closely with local tech companies and trusted academic institutions to catalyze Army-wide transformational outcomes.
In concert with Austin Community College and the State of Texas, the Army’s IGSA allows the Army to rapidly create new partnerships for the direct benefit of U.S. military servicemembers and citizens, officials said.
