The Austin Police Department is requesting help from the public with identifying a woman who used her young child to steal a package from an apartment mail room.
According to police, the woman was dressed as an Amazon delivery driver when she directed her five-year-old child to take a package after she delivered a package.
Amazon has no record of the delivery, so it is unknown if the woman actually works for the company, or was simply dressed like an Amazon delivery person to gain access.
The woman is described as:
- Hispanic female
- Early 30s
- She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, plastic framed glasses, hair in a bun and a blue Amazon delivery vest.
- Accompanied by a five-year-old child who was wearing a Buc-ee’s tie-dye t-shirt and blue shorts.
