The Del Valle Independent School district has continued to monitor the local impact of COVID-19.  After conferring with Austin Public Health, DVISD officials have opted to extend temporary 100% remote instruction through Friday, January 22, 2021.

“Working with TEA, we are reallocating instructional minutes within the school day to provide the flexibility to recapture minutes to apply to remote learning days, thus preventing a loss of funding to the district during the temporary 100% remote learning period, the district said in a press release.  “As a reminder, this will not impact the bus schedule.”

The hybrid method of instruction will resume on Monday, January 25.  Parents of students previously attending on-campus may switch to remote learning by contacting their child’s school.  Meal service for all students during the temporary remote learning time will continue at all campuses. Details on the meal services is available at: https://bit.ly/dvremotemeals.
