Comptroller’s report says Robin Hood financing could be bad for state’s economy

Texas biggest expense is public education and the Comptrollers office released a report that echoes what lawmakers have been saying. Property tax bills are rising and funding formulas for the recapture funding system are placing a greater burden on taxpayers rather than the state. Comptroller Glenn Hegar says it could have serious implications for state’s economic success.
