Tuesday 4/8: Texas legislators are looking to end programs like Austin’s universal basic income pilot program statewide, the Texas House has proposed a THC ban bill that would allow THC beverages to be regulated by the TABC and China is responding to Trump’s recent tariffs.
Wednesday 4/9: Austin’s District 5 City Councilman Ryan Alter joins us in studio to discuss public safety, expansion of I-35 and the city budget among other topics, Ken Paxton has officially announced he’ll be running for U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s seat and China has announced new retaliatory tariffs on the U.S.
Thursday 4/10: Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroder is speaking out against proposed state legislation that would mandate mobile homes be allowed on all residential lots, parents are demanding answers after multiple gas leaks at an elementary school in Pflugerville forced students to evacuate and a bill has cleared the Texas Senate that would create exemptions for police officers when deadly misconduct charges are filed against them.
Friday 4/11: The Austin City Council has passed amendments to the city building code including the allowance of single staircase apartment complexes and the requirement of AC units in every dwelling, parents are speaking out against the possible closure of Dobie Middle School in AISD and legislation is being filed to allow guns on the Texas State Fair grounds.
