It’s been revealed that an Austin man accused of stabbing & killing another man on a Cap Metro bus has a lengthy criminal record, the City of Austin is looking to boot more cars in an effort to collect unpaid parking citations and Texas legislators want to replace the STAAR test in public schools with three shorter tests: one at the beginning, middle & end of the school year

TUESDAY 5/20

The Austin City Council appears divided ahead of the Thursday vote to approve placing caps & stitches on I-35, Texas State Rep. Ellen Troxclair updates the show on the bail reform legislation in the Texas Legislature and Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick is continuing his push to ban THC statewide.

WEDNESDAY 5/21

In response to the rising rate of jugging crimes a Texas House bill has been created that would create a specific criminal charge for jugging, Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the company will be launching its fleet of self driving taxis in Austin by the end of June and Andy Hogue with the Travis County Republican Party joins the show to discuss the petition to stop the expansion of the Austin Convention Center.

THURSDAY 5/22

Save Our Springs Alliance Executive Director Bill Bunch joins the show to discuss stopping the expansion of the Austin Convention Center as well as the upcoming cap & stitch vote by the Austin City Council and the Texas House approved a bill that would institute a total ban on all THC products.

FRIDAY 5/23

The Austin City Council has voted to commit $104 million to putting caps & stitches over I-35, legislators & business owners are speaking out after the Texas House approved a bill banning all THC products and Harvard University is suing the Trump administration after the administration moved to revoke all student visas from those attending the university.
