Thousands gathered in Arizona for the memorial of Charlie Kirk, neighbors around the proposed site for a new homeless shelter in south Austin have launched a petition against the proposal and Texas has signed agreements with multiple states to strengthen election integrity.

 

Tuesday 9/23

The City of Austin is launching a pilot program to address repeat offenders with mental health issues, the Austin Firefighters Association says they’re getting impatient with the city in regards to contract negotiations after a meeting was abruptly cancelled by the city with no explanation and the man who plowed through multiple vehicles on I-35 with an 18-wheeler that killed five people and injured nearly a dozen others is facing new charges.

Wednesday 9/24

In today’s show Todd and Oz dive into Jimmy Kimmel returning to late-night TV, President Trump criticiziing the United Nations, and the way the 10-1 Austin City Council. They also react to breaking news about shots being fired at an ICE facility in Dallas.

Thursday 9/25

House District 21 Candidate Daniel Betts joins the show to discuss issues facing voters in the hill country area, the City of Austin is looking for feedback on plans to improve traffic flow on Sixth Street and a proposed change to city code in Austin would allow veterinarians to spay an animal and terminate their pregnancy without allowing a rescue group to take ownership.

Friday 9/26

Negotiations for a new contract have resumed between the Austin Firefighters Association and the Austin City Council, the council has also approved a change to city code that will allow vets to spay pregnant dogs and cats without allowing a rescue group to come claim the animal first and a man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to have planted a bomb at the Fox 7 studios in downtown Austin.
