Austin Police say a lockdown at Travis Early College High School is lifted after a man shot himself near the football field. Police were chasing the gunman across I-35 where he assaulted an officer. Officers chased him to the football field where he was surrounded by police
The suspect is in critical condition and the officer was treated and released. Students were never in danger but are being released early as police continue to investigate.
