Air travel has seen a continued rebound from last year’s COVID-induced lows. At Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, passenger traffic has jumped significantly this year, and July was no different.

Passenger traffic growth for July 2021 was up 279.6% compared to July 2020, with 1,541,305 passengers flying into and out of Austin throughout the month. This makes July 2021 the fifth busiest month in airport history, following May, June, July and October of 2019, officials said.

General Aviation operations totaled 3,695, up 24.8%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 18,636, up 68.4%.
