City of Austin to Announce New Displacement Prevention Program

Austin City Hall

The City of Austin Housing Department will host an in-person press conference at City Hall on Thursday, March 30 to announce the launch of a new Displacement Prevention Navigators Pilot Program.

This pilot program aims to help people stay in their homes and communities, the city says.  Paid Navigators will be recruited from local communities to participate.

Beginning in two pilot neighborhoods, Navigators will help renters and homeowners in Colony Park and Dove Springs to learn about and access housing resources from the city and other organizations.

Councilmembers Natasha Harper-Madison and Vanessa Fuentes will be on-hand, along with representatives from the Housing Department.
