If you are just waking up, don’t drink any tap water until you boil it if you are on City of Austin water. Austin water issued a boil water notice for all Austin Water customers early this morning. The city says the historic flooding flowing into the water supply lakes contain high levels of silt and that is impacting water treatment standards. The utility says water for drinking, cooking, and ice should be boiled before being consumed until further notice.
