The City of Round Rock is getting rid of their masking requirement.

As of midnight on April 22, masks will no longer be mandated within the city limits. The council was faced with four options, and Mayor Craig Morgan says he’s fully aware that no decision will please everyone, “some want it immediately, some want it in the middle, and some want to let it expire.”

Council has made the decision citing an increase in vaccinations and declining COVID numbers.

Businesses can still choose to require masks.
