Early morning shooting leaves nine Austin police officers on paid leave

While responding to calls about multiple fights outside of the Terminal 6 nightclub downtown, police say one of them spilled into an alley off 6th and Trinity.  Gunshots were heard ringing out prompting police to rush to the alleyway, and Assistant Chief Troy Gay said one man in the alley raised his gun at police after refusing to put it down.

He died a short time later.  One other officer fired a tazer, he is also on leave.  Gay says the incident was captured on numerous cameras.
