Around 4 Sunday morning Sunset Valley Police were dispatched to 5601 Brodie Lane, Suite 940 (Zales) for a glass break alarm.  When the responding officer arrived, he observed the front glass entry door of Zales to be shattered and an Hispanic male exiting the store.   The Hispanic male would later be identified as:  Carrillo, Marc-Antonie W/M DOB 08-06-1992.

Mr. Carrillo was eventually able to start the vehicle and drag the officer with his car as he reversed out of the parking spot.  It was at this time the officer discharged his duty weapon one-time, striking Mr. Carrillo in the right elbow.  The officer was able to separate himself from the vehicle and Mr. Carrillo fled the scene.

Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department pursued the vehicle and eventually took Mr. Carrillo into custody without incident.  Mr. Carrillo was transported to Dell Seton with non-life-threatening injuries where he was treated and released.  Mr. Carrillo is currently in Travis County Central Booking.  Sunset Valley Police Department has charged Mr. Carrillo with Burglary, a State Jail Felony, and Aggravated Assault, a First-Degree Felony.
